87_shee Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Did you ever figure out what the problem with your motor is? Quote
wacko2000 Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Dont buy a jet kit, they are a waste of money, figure out where abous you are goin to be on your jetting and buy 2-3 sizes larger and smaller. And your still have money left over... http://www.magicracing.com/Wiseco-Piston-K...p_133-135.html# http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/index.asp Both sell jets..Like $3 ea Quote
dajogejr Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Stock pilots are fine for your setup... Buy main jets only. Get a pair of 240, 250, 260 and 270. When you remove the lid, get 280 and 290 as well. Quote
pasedogg Posted February 21, 2008 Author Report Posted February 21, 2008 ya im assuming the scrathces are from not warming up the engine or wrong jettting.i stock cylinders and pistons, rings that fit etc, for cheaper then what it would cost to hone it and get new pistons.what should the clip be set to and all that stuff. maybe the setup is right but were thinkin its wrong so ill order up the kits and test it all out. so what do people think buddy helped out up top, what about the air screw and clip adjustment.im brand spanbkin new and learnin Quote
04titanse Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 you can get jets at your local Yamaha dealer if you don't want to wait for someone to ship them to you. I got a few jets from Jeff at FAST and they did ship pretty fast though. Quote
