How to remove shock springs?

Does anyone know how to remove the springs from the shocks? I am wanting to powder coat them a custom color! :biggrin:

i think a spring press ,

on stock springs you have to unscrew the lower eye and seat off the shaft, for after market shocks you need to compress the spring and the lower seat slides off the shaft

USE A SPRING PRESS AND REMOVE THE COLAR. NO NEED TO UNSCREW ANYTHING . JUST DID MINE YESTERDAY.

Every banshee stock front shcok I have ever seen does not have a slip off colar. You will need to unscrew the bottom eye to remove the spring. The rear can be compressed and has a removable colar.
