I would get a hinson if they were more price competitive...

the good thing about a hinson is...you groove up the basket a little, just break an ear off...they'll send you another one...:)

You serious? does that apply for a GYT-R/Hinson ?

I like the looks of them barnett's. They use the steel plates over the ears. Wonder how long the life is on one compared to a Hinson or other billet basket.

Only thing I dont like about that one is the risk of those little steel pieces comming off and doing some carnage. I like as few parts inside that can grenade everything as possible.

I run a hinson basket with the springs instead of cushions on my 4mil duner. Works awesome and I have had zero problems with it so far. But my serious dune season hasn't started yet and I haven't really romped on it very hard this winter.

I've had a few people on PS state you break off an ear, and they'll replace it. If I'm not mistaken, Evan said the same...

I can't say for the GYTR...they might get you with "it's sold by Yamie for Hinson" disclaimer or something like that....

I like the look of the Barnett. However...it's rivet holding the stainless ears on...I don't want to think about what would happen if one of those were to go astray in a motor....:)
