jaredvh Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 The rear shock on my shee squeaks really bad. Is this common on banshees? It sounds like a dry bushing or something. Is this possible? I thought it may have just needed greasing but that didnt seem to help. Any ideas? Quote
yamaha04 Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 very comon take the shock out grease the bushings and while you are at it grease the shock linkage bushing. Quote
Skidmark Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 yep, pretty common. My banshee does it a little and I got a banshee shock on the rear of my warrior and it squeeks too. Just put some silicone or wd40 on the shaft and it helps alot. Quote
shanYE west Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 One of my banshee had a bad squeak when I picked it up. Drove me nuts... Ended up being the upper shock mount/bolt. Not a bad idea to take them out after each season and give the a nice lube job. Quote
Fireroad Express Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 try and use a grease if possible. WD-40 is mostly a water dispersant and contains very little lubricant. Quote
