dajogejr Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 I'd get the worked bike...for cheaper. If it's a solid bike and runs good...so it might need a top end? Even if it needed boring, fresh top end, etc., it still WAY cheaper. The only difference in these bikes is plastics and graphics colors, not like either bike left the factory any different than the other in that aspect. Almost 800 for a set of pipes?? Sheesh...you could buy three used sets in the states for that much.... You're going to spend more money on the new one to hop up once you get bored riding a stocker...why not start off ahead of the game... Quote
. Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 exactly, if you get the 2005, you are going to end up with a lot of stock parts laying around that noone wants. If you get the one with pipes and everything else, even if its not what you want, you can pull them off and sell them and recoop some of your money. Unless the banshee with the mods is beat to hell, I'd go with that. Only reason I bought a brand new banshee was because I'm going to own it for the rest of my life, and I know every little bump its hit along the way. The ones you are looking at are both used, so go with the one that is going to benefit your pocket the best. The only thing the 2005 has over the 2000 is it has a brake light. Quote
2STwinCyl Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I'd get the 05. Reasons being, I like newer things, and I like to do all my own mods. But that's just me. Don't worry though, you'll be happy with a Shee no matter which one you decide to get. Quote
inthemail Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) just buy a fuckin banshee either way after a few years yll have parts from almost every year on it! they all fit! its like a stupid civic. (too bad banshee parts arent as cheap up here as civic parts eh bud?) the guys know what there spittin about s listen up. the OLD one is a better deal. dont ride it hard untill you KNOW what you have internally. when i bought my blow up i was told it had a rebuild only .20 over. turns out now its .80.... oh well. it ran great for years untill one day it just DIED. now its apart all over my bedroom and i have ALMOST just as much fun wrenchin it than riding it. why? because i know when i get the thing running and in one piece again its going to be 3 times as fast as the last time my ass graced the seat. so theres my rant fellow canadian. buy either banshee, stick to the HQ like glue  and buy parts down south. their prices and regular shipping, your still savin. screw parts canada and motovan there cocksuckers all they sell is FMF and DG.... what kinda pipe is that something your granddaddy puts on his raptor to "keep up" with his grandkids, duh. if you get the stocker i will even GIVE you a K&N filter so you can say you got parts. you gotta clean te cunt out tho i dont wash.
