Will these parts interchange ?

I Might have a deal going with an 87 frame for cheap but my question is I got A-arms and spindles off an 01 can I use lower a-arms and spindles for the 87 frame?

the bottom a arms are the same off a j arm , but im not sure about the spindles , i think i heard the front brakes are diffront on the early year banshee's ,

The answer is yes, and there are companies out ther that sell a weld in kit for the J-arm frame to make it accept the upper A-arms

yes , the spindels and calipers are different on J-arm bikes. so are the front brake lines i think.

thats not true , i had a 1990 j arm banshee , and i switched the spindles and brakes over to a a arm frame and everything fit perfect .

 

but if i can remeber correctly , the 87 -88 brakes were different , 89 and 90 j arm spindles are the same as the newer a arm frames ,

 

if you look in the repair manual it tells you .
