1996dragshee Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 bought a pro design tether.dont know how it hooks up but looks like common sense as any other switch.taking a guess here but splice in the two wires into ignition wire right? so where's the ignition wire? Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 the short wire is a ground. ground it to something thats bare metal. the long one hooks to the orange wire that goes into your coil. bam, youre done. Quote
bansheeman1988 Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 You dont want to hook into that wire, it will damage the cdi in time. Hook it to the black with white stripped wire coming from the stock kill switchand the other wire on your kill switch to a good ground. Good luck. Quote

Good luck. mines been hooked like that for years with no issues. and im pretty sure the instructions say to hook to that orange wire. you have proof that it will damage it in time? youve done research on this? i doubt it.
