Bruce642 Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 I have a 1995 Banshee (stock, other than K & N filter with outerwear). Tell me if this sounds right guys! I'm putting the following on: Toomey T5's pipes with silencers, rejetting the stock carbs (280 main), Cool heads, Vforce reeds (should that be Vforce3 reeds?). I do not have a welded crank yet, will these mods be ok with out a welded crank? I also run "cool ice" in my banshee to keep it cooler. Now, do these mods sound right? Is there anything else you would do? Thanks for the input guys!! Bruce Quote
bansheeman1988 Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Yeah youll be okay for a non welded crank. Get a timing plate and put to +4, take the lid off your airbox, get a highflow impeller, and start with 340 mains and work your way down. might need to also put in 27.5 pilots. Other than that i would think you'd be good! Quote

I ride under 3500 feet elevation Glamis and Gorman, California City. Will I need to go up or down on the pilots at 27.5 also when dialing in the mains? Thanks for the great input! Bruce Quote

Well if he says thats from toomey than i would go with that but if your adding more mods than just the pipes you need to up that jetting, the advanced timing will give you better throttle response in conjuction with your VF3's. The high flow impeller is more of a safegaurd for your motor from overheating. The stock plastic ones have been known to crack. First get your mains dialed in then work on the pilots if need be.
