gentner8 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I have a set of pipes that have some rust. I have access to a sand blaster, and was kicking the idea of hitting the pipes with it. Has anybody ever done this to their pipes and if so, what did you put back on them? Im not looking to send them out to be re plated or chromed. I dont mind the look of nude pipes, but I just dont want them to become rust buckets. Quote
NYUK Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 EASTWOOD SELLS HIGH HEAT BLACK. or you could get them powdercoated. they have high temp pc. Quote
LiftdT4R Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 I had a set of FMFs with High Temp PC, and now I have a set of PT Mids with High Temp PC. They don't look half as nice as chrome, but if your riding trails and you want something thats gonna hold up really well, the PC does. Here's my PT mids: Quote
BaNsHeeJuNkEy Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 i used hightemp heat paint 1500 degress in a can for my stingers and it is holding up great. for wha ti need. still looks good from when the bike was running. as long as you always clean your bike after you ride. Quote
