cjs
I know my frame is bent and I am replacing that, but it got me to wondering about my swingarm. How can I tell if it is straight. I don't want to bolt a bent swing arm onto a new frame. Any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks P.s. I know I need to change my user name but can't figure out how to do it. A PM has been sent asking for directions but I haven't got a reply yet.

Bansh88
Stock swingarm? I can't imagine a swinger getting bent. Unless it was in a SERIOUS wreck. The stock swinger is a pretty solid piece of metal.
Dave I.
You can run a straight edge on it or measure it corner to corner and see if its square.
locogato11283
post a picture. stock swingarms are very strong and heavy EXCEPT where the tabs are on the end. you know, the ones that the carrier bolt to. those can bend pretty easily. where do you think its bent? best is to post some pictures and we can tell you.
