mark1342 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 I have a 2000 Banshee the other day I tried to start it and kicked aprox 30 times with choke pulled out and it wouldn't start when it finally did start it ran very weak and when you touched the throttle it died. This went on for a while than we pull started it it took a while but eventually it started and ran fine. once it was warmed up it started fine by kicking it It has worked fine before and was wondering if it could be the choke lever thanks Quote

Sounds like you need to clean your carbs. Its a very Sensitive part of your quad. Let gas sit in it a while and she gets gum'd up. Clean the carbs change the plugs, When was the oil changed last? If a while change the oil, and she will last for ever! Quote
sheerider1026 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 yep.. if it has set for a while more than likely its the carbs.. if not i would check compression.. Quote
mark1342 Posted January 1, 2008 Author Report Posted January 1, 2008 It was not sitting that long just a couple of weeks Compression was good when checked about a month ago have not ridden it much between checking and having the problem Quote
J-Madd Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 Pilot jet could be lean, if it starts better when it's warm. Is the temp a lot colder than when you rode it last? You can turn your air screws in to richen it up a little. Quote
