i was wondering if you can get away with using a lock-up without using the cover? they only want 120 for the clutch, thats still stretching the pennies but ill look into the cover next year for sure.

A regular lock up, no. There is a under stock lockup cover out there, but get your visa card ready for a big hit.

alright well thanks guys than i guess im not going that route until i get the whole set up next season, ill stick with the fzr1000 fibers and call it good then, thanks for all the replies,

the under cover lockup which is called slingshot is $185

 

That isnt bad priced at all.... I thought I read on Planet Sand it was way more... good to know its not!!! :thumbsup:

and they do hold more power accoriding to some builders.i wanted a direct drive because the clear cover but the sleeper look is kind of cool

I'd run the slingshot with the cover mod anyways.. Just for the ease of clutch maintainence. It sucks pulling the cover off. Not to mention if you have to adjust/tune the lockup assembly.
