tyguy Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 i was wondering if you can get away with using a lock-up without using the cover? they only want 120 for the clutch, thats still stretching the pennies but ill look into the cover next year for sure. Quote

A regular lock up, no. There is a under stock lockup cover out there, but get your visa card ready for a big hit. Quote

shanYE west Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 and they do hold more power accoriding to some builders.i wanted a direct drive because the clear cover but the sleeper look is kind of cool I'd run the slingshot with the cover mod anyways.. Just for the ease of clutch maintainence. It sucks pulling the cover off. Not to mention if you have to adjust/tune the lockup assembly. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 Ita Gigot racing. But you can get them from some builders probably.I got mine from my builder. Quote
HotCarl Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 after seeing their website I think I'll pass on that one. I like my lock up cover and directdrive has made more then one. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 Thier was a war about this clutch.I wouldnt judge them by their website.I know of a 18mm on nitrous that a direct drive lockup couldnt hold the power of it when the Slingshot did. Quote
