20Banshee03 Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 I just got my Banshee a few weeks ago. It is bone stock. I have raced a Warrior on pavement and steadily pulled him and then just yesterday I raced a Bruteforce 750 on grass. I know I have a little bit of trouble with take off as I don't want to pull the front end up too much but when we were both settled down and actually running he was leaving me a little. That doesn't seem right but maybe I am wrong. Is there something wrong to make me down on power or is a Bruteforce that fast. Oh, I don't know if it would matter or not but I did flood it a couple of times a few days back, do you think I could have fouled the plugs? I was going to change them out but have not had a chance to yet. Thanks for any help you can give me. Quote
HotCarl Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 a bone stock banshee is one of the slowest quads out there. a set of pipes will even the playing field. Quote
20Banshee03 Posted December 31, 2007 Author Report Posted December 31, 2007 I have done a lot of research about exhaust and think I have decided on the Toomey's but really don't like the price but if it will really make that much of a difference then I will "hurry" up and save for them. I guess I was always under the impression that the Banshee was one of the quickest if not the quickest ATV's from the factory. Is there anything else I should do at the same time? Thanks for the help. Quote
sheerider1026 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 toomey t5's are a good pipe.. dont forget to rejet the carbs.. a good set of reeds make some difference.. get a timing plate, that helps a lot also.. if money is low do the pipes, timing, and rejet.. also a good air filter.. u will be surprised ... HotCarl Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 just doing pipes will be a night and day difference. don't forget to rejet. Quote

20Banshee03 Posted December 31, 2007 Author Report Posted December 31, 2007 It probably doesn't help that I am a fat ass either. 6'3" 275 lbs. This race was on grass and it was smooth for the most part but did have it bumps. I would say it was about 100 yards. Quote
