theshee Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 i wanna pc my calipers. do i need to take anything off them as of pads? what else could i pc? ploish em... its a heck of a job, but man they look nice! Quote
HotCarl Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 I took the pistion out, because there is a non-metalic bushing that the piston rides on, and if you get it up 400 degrees I'm sure it isn't going to like it. plus it allows to to get all the fuild out so that you are starting with a completly clean piece. KaosBanshee44 Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 theshee knows what i'm gonna do to my calipers definitly polish the hell out of it...lol Quote
okbeast Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 Yeah and brake fluid is hell on powdercoat. Just a tad bit and it softens it up bad. I'd vote for the polishing too. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 when i pc'd mine i just took all the rubber and bolts and pads off. pistons stayed in. Quote
theshee Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 theshee knows what i'm gonna do to my calipers definitly polish the hell out of it...lol send em my way if you want cody. They are a bitch to polish, but I can get them looking pretty good for not too much $$. Pictures kinda suck, stupid camera is about to take a crap on me, but you can see the difference in them before and after. Quote
Washburn Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 I got mine for super cheap off Jason LiftfT4R. They are powdercoated silvervein and the look great not sure how he went about doing them though. Quote
bk_banshee Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 Hell if your gonna take them all the way apart then you might as well chrome them. Then you will never have to polish them again. Quote

Then you will never have to polish them again. word you beat me to it! thats what sucks about polishing is you have to keep doing it becasue it will fade. chrome is the way to go once its done its done.
