sa3ood_banshee Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 sup guyz i just changed my shee'z oil,and to what u no the oil capacity is 1.5 liters, anyways i think i put alot more than 1.5 liters, only a few ml more ,its my first time, and i didnt have a measuring cup( mom would kill me if u took hers ).lol, so is it okay or should i drain it and put tha same oil back in 2 recomended capacity, thhnnxxxx a million sa3ood Quote
2strokespirit Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 If it's a few ml more like 50 or so , its ok, but to much is not good, with to much oil in your gearbox you will have hard time finding neutral and gear shifting is not so smooth as well, but thats with way to much oil. I get banshee with over 2000ml of oil when I service them, some people just top up for some weird reason. Quote
Hilarious Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Run it. I've put a full (2) quarts in mines before and didnt have any troubles. I'm not saying its okay for everyone to do. Everyone's bike is different. Quote
dajogejr Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 I've run 2 quarts before in bikes without lockups so the shifter ball/rod get more oil and it helps prevent clutch ball lockup in some cases. Don't worry about it... Quote
rubberneck Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 I had heard about the overfill trick to help prevent the clutch ball weld disaster, so i put a full 2 quarts in mine last time and it has been fine. Quote
1996dragshee Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 run 2 quarts in mine for the same reason stated above...no problems here Quote
