rtcc Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Hey guys, I am wondering what you guys feel the strongest rims are. I know the hipers are pretty amazing but I dont think they will be in my budget. I was wondering how much of a difference there is between the baja wheels and say a beadlock. I ride a lot of really rocky trails and I gone through 3 sets of ITP .190s. I just dent the hell out of them. I have never rolled a tire. They were all really cheap to replace so I didnt care at the time, but now I think I want to go black rims and there is no way paint will hold up. Are the bajas strong enough to handle severe punishment? Quote

Itp aslo makes a .190 wheel with a rolled lip like the stock wheels. If you get a bead lock or baja. Get the powder coated black ones. Then polish the outer ring. Black doesnt look good all scratched up. Quote
zach45 Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 i like stockers ... they take a beating IME Quote

Are the bajas strong enough to handle severe punishment? The few guys that were running the Baja 1000 with Banshees on a budget were rocking steel wheels. They are heavier, but you can be the reliability / repairability. :geek: Quote

Washburn Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Douglas Ultimate Beadlock wheels are the strongest out there. They are heavier but when your riding on rocky terrain you need them. Quote
