Handyman Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 So the wife wants to change the color of her shee from red, black and yellow to blue, silver and chrome....The question I have is should I buy all new plastics or should I have what I got painted blue??? I still owe some money to a member on here so money is kinda tight...especially with christmas right around the corner. If I paint them how would the paint stand up to the vibrations, flexing etc. of the plastics?? Any help and insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Quote
Handyman Posted December 13, 2007 Author Report Posted December 13, 2007 I forgot to add that if i buy all new plastics i'll be selling my red plastics if any ne is interested in them let me know Quote
theshee Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 are the plastics cut or full. i woundnt paint an un-cut set. the paint will crack since the fenders move a lot uncut. If you want a full fendered bike, new plastics are the way to go. If you have race cuts though, paint is the way to go. Quote
bonzai272 Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 Im pretty sure the stuff you want to check out is Krylon Fusion. its made to flex a bit for plastics and what not. Id say paint them. Quote
dalegoldston Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 The only thing is if they are scratched up alot you will need to buff them out or I think the paint would not look good at all. Quote
