I was torquing the case together with a torque wrench i wasnt used to combined with the horrid smell of the yamaha sealer, then the make a long story short i torqued it a little more than i should of a little faster than i should of. But anyway on the final step i was sure to get everything right. Is it ok that i gave it a little extra in the early stages as long as i still stayed in order and ended up with the same final torques?

i think you will be okay as long as you didnt stretch the case bolts or strip them. I would do a leakdown test right away before you get all back together and see if it holds (6psi for 6min) If your good there then i would just say loosen the bolts and torque them to 18ft/lbs and you should be okay! Good luck man

I never actually torqued them over spec, i just torqued it a little high on the initial torques. why are you saying to loosten them up and torque to 18 ft lbs if its good? Should it be retorqued after running it?

Your fine!!!! don't worry about if the first round they got torqued to 15 instead of 8 or something.

When i meant good i meant the leakdown test if it holds the air in the cases and doesnt leak. you should be okay i would think
