MATT_FROMHONDA Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 Does any one have any pictures of frames that they have cut out all the bs. I have started to clean mine up I just dont want to make it to week to ride at the dunes. Thanks Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 I run this at the dunes all the time. not to sure what kinda duning you are doing. dont think I would jump it, but thats just me Quote
MATT_FROMHONDA Posted December 12, 2007 Author Report Posted December 12, 2007 did you build a new sub frame. Or clean up the stock one? Also I cant quite tell but behind the top rear a-arm mounts is there a brace that runs to the other side? As for how much duning that I am going to be doing I will ride it out to the drag strip and run it then ride it back. I just wanted to make sure that it would not bend if the strip was wooped out which 9 times out of 10 it is. the pics though they are very helpful. Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 I had a guy over on planet sand build the sub frame out of 3/4 chrome alloy where abouts are you talkin for the brace?? Quote
MATT_FROMHONDA Posted December 12, 2007 Author Report Posted December 12, 2007 nevermind I looked at my frame and it is the steering stem mount. thanks again for the pics. Quote

It is tedious and time consuming, but the benefits are well worth it IMO! your not lien there! you would not think that all you cut out would add up to much. When I took mine to the powder coaters I took my friends also, when I loaded them both in the truck was when I really noticed the weight difference! Quote
dajogejr Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Plus it is SO much easier to work on stuff with out of frame pipes too...and all that room there. Quote
samc Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 im thinking about doing this to a 2001 frame i have and make that a drag bike, but where would i drag race it at? theres no tracks near me besides capitol raceway which is like 30 mins away and MIR/Budds Creek in southern md which is like 2 hours away. can you race them at any tracks?
