thats a question you usually ask before you send your motor out.....call him and ask.....you cant be worried about calling and bugging your builder.....they are doing a service for YOU that you are paying for.

from my personal experience, not with jim, but many other builders, double the time they say. i have had many motors built.

like nyuk said, it might be a bit, usually winter is somewhat slow time so might get it quick but you have to wait behind other guys that are getting something done. so just figure some extra time then what was said from my experiences.

it happens.

depends on what your getting done.

finally sent my motor out 2 passion racing & i just wanted to know from any of you people who had work done by him how long does he take?

thx

So fill us in, what is Jim doing for you, I just got my motor back from him about 3 weeks ago..

Jims a good guy, my motor took alittle longer than expected, but well worth it

I don't want to speak for him, because I don't know what kind of arrangement you have with him. He told me last week that he is pretty swamped right now and about 5 weeks out for porting. Don't know if it would be shorter/longer for a complete build. I am going to finish the sand season out on my current motor and then tear down when it gets hot next year. phil

for real !!!! if my motor was going to passions it wouuld deff be coming back with some kind of porting !! like sayed before .......... get a clean up port or something and screw the cool head !!!

you mean might as well? :)

Yea I agree, You can always add the coolhead when you get some more $$$, While you have everything apart and Jim has the motor, you might as well, wake her up a bit with some slight porting... You will be very very happy with the differnce over stock....

i would have it ported while he has it. why not do it while its all tore apart?
