RIPRuck Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 (edited) Dag nabbitt!!! I over tightened my main jet while replacing it and snapped the threads off. I can see it just floating up there on the needle. This is on a 38mm PWK Airstriker, is that part replaceable? I tried to look on sudco's site at the diagrams but couldnt see that particular part. Pissed off right now, wanted to get the jetting right and ride this weekend :: Edited December 7, 2007 by RIPRuck Quote

Should not be a big deal unless you pulled the threads out of the emulsion tube. Brandon Quote
RIPRuck Posted December 7, 2007 Author Report Posted December 7, 2007 Thats what I was hoping.. But just for security reasons is that piece it screws into replaceable? I noticed while changing a previouse jet the feel while tightening it was weird. Quote
trex banshee Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 I could be wrong but on kiehen carbs i don't think that tube is replaceable. Quote
brian Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 (edited) have you tried an easy out ? It might come out pretty easily. Sometimes brass is quite brittle and it may have broken off without having too much pressure on it. P.S. if you do try an easy out, dont hammer it in really hard. just tap it in very lightly. 00tbanshee Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 had a buddy do the samething at the track one weekend and i managed to get a allen wrench that was a little bigger then the hole in the jet tapped down in it and it came right out.it wasn't that tight.i would try a easy out think you will beable to get it.
