are you serious you cant tighten 12 bolts to the proper sepcs and put some bearings and wrist pins in ? HOLY HELL ethier you got cash to burn or your lazy enough to not order a clymer...

a BANSHEE TOP END , IS EASIER then building a damn lego set. JESUS !!!! theres even threads on here on how to rip ure hole motor apart , step by step...

Pistons 150

machinging/boring ? 90 a cyl ?????? depends ???

if you need reseleving thats where they are taxing you ???

A new top end is generally bore, hone, new pistons, gaskets, fluids and labor.

Bore is 90 to 120 for a set of cylinders.

Top end kit with all gaskets is 180.

So they're hitting you for 500, give or take, for labor....

get a detailed estimate....go from there. Did you clean the bike before you brought it to them.

I've worked on dirty, muddied up bikes and charged a few bucks extra just because you shouldn't have to clean someone else's SHIT.

holy hell... they better be bolting a cub cylinder on there for that money..... $300 bucks, and an hour and you could do it yourself.

dont get offended man...

once you do your topend... you will understand y chase got upset lol..

frist take ur topend off... your gunna need to get them bored and hone

once thats done you know the bore then order wiseco top end kit..(comes with pistons rings clips gaskets everything u need)

then you put pistons on... cylinders on 8 bolts for cylinders and 10 for the head.... kick her back over and enjoy..

heres a kit that has everything you need for the topend. link

you need to know what size pistons to get and take them with the cyliders to a machine shop and have the cylinders machined to the correct tolerances for the pistons.

click on the bigred link in my sig, it will show you how ez it is to tak the whole motor apart. you will thnak yourself and everyone on here for talking you out of it casue like said its SUPER ez to redo the top end. if you get to a pont that your not sure what to do, dont try and figure it out and fuk something up... log on and make a post, in most cases you will get an answer within a few mins.

I think we have a misunderstanding in what I meant.... I was just saying, damn thats a lot of money for a top end, I was not attacking your mechanic skills. Sorry for coming off bad, but thats not what I meant at all. Top ends are very simple, im sure you can handle it.

unbolt, take pics , read bhq , post , etc etc...........

if you really are in a bind and ure hands are full with greese call me 305 345 4044... its so easy you can almost do it blindfolded.

remove carbs and intakes/reeds ( they go on the same way you take them off )

remove the coolant lines (replace coolant later)

unbolt the head ( 10 bolts )

Unbolt the cyldiners 8 bolts

Listen to these guys here they know there stuff...

I would have did my top end myself but I needed other stuff done as well so I just sent it out..

do feel so bad with the price you got, my cousin brought his banshee to Action Yamaha in NJ, about 2 months ago for a new top end..

The did his top end bored .20 over and put a new OEM clutch in, and they said they adjusted the carbs..

Hows 1100 sound, yea my cousin his a moron, I told him not to bring it there that we would do it ourselves, he didnt want to be bothered...

You can get some pretty motor work done for that price if you ask me...
