Duneman101 Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 I did a search and couldn't find anything, and the clymers manual might as well be toilet paper. I am in the process of rebuilding the bottom end, and i have all new seals, so i might as well replace all that i can while i am in there, but i can't seem to get the shift shaft seal out, nicely. do i pop it into the case or out of the case, i tried picking it out both ways with a screw driver, but i don't want to cave man it if until i know which way to go..... Bansh-eman Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 it should pop out towards u Quote
Duneman101 Posted November 10, 2007 Author Report Posted November 10, 2007 it should pop out towards u can i just grab it with a pair of dykes and rip it out or do i need to force it out from the inside of the case? I really pryed good with the screw driver. I though about putting a bolt threw it threading a nut and i think i can get some leverage that way.... Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 it should have popped out with the screw driver. try grabbing it with some needle nose Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 I took a deck (wood) screw and screwed it into the seal and used pliers to get it out. Quote
87sheerips Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Get yourself a nice pic and work it out. Quote
