ok the deal is I bought the bike after it sat for about 1 year I drained the gas and cleaned the carbs and it ran but didnt seem to get more then 1/2 throttle. I found only 90 psi both cylinders so I rebuilt it and it seems to have the same problem if I shift at what seems to be early to me the bike runs hard but wide open it only runs hard for a second and then acts like its running out of gas. I rode it at dumont last weekend and it ran great just not full throttle. I am used to riding a dirtbike I dont feel the power band in my banshee and like I said acts like it runs out of gas??? please help me the bike is all stock with stock bore wisco pistons

what main jet is in it ? air box lid or no lid ? filter ? stock pipes ? sounds like its starving for fuel , find out what main is in it and if you have a lid on the air box with a snorkal

stock pipes and air box if I take off the seat the air filter is in a box with no lid on it I guess it seals against the seat it has a big foam filter I dont know what jets are in it I know the bike came from michigan and is now in vegas

theres a good chance you could have a 200 main jet and with the lid off it wont have any top end power , its starving for fuel , do you have a lid ?

or any other main jets ?

The seat does not seal the airbox, the airbox should have an actual lid. If you have the stock filter cage, the lid holds the cage in place to seal the intake system. There is a good chance you have an air leak if you have the stock filter cage and nothing holding the top of the cage in place.

Make sure you do not have an intake leak before you start changing the jetting...

ok there is no air leak even if the air filter was removed it should not have anything to do with it unless it was plugged or restricted. an air leak or vacuum leak would be after the carb like the reed plate or so on. I guess I will check further into the jetting for las vegas with stock exhaust and see if there isnt some other problem like that TORS system or ignition problem at high rpms???????????? since im new to banshee do they rev out like a 2 stroke dirt bike ?????????? cause I dont really feel a power band I feel like it runs out of fuel right when it should be in band

yep they rev just like a bike. Take the fuel line off and check your flow. the petcock has two filters on it in the tank. It might be full of sludge. I pulled mine out and now run an inline. Make sure your jets are clean. Make sure your reeds aren't stuck. Good luck with the problem.

Sounds like it is laying down and going flat from a lean condition. I would up the jet to a 220, check for flow out of the tank, and loosen the fuel cap to test for a vapor lock problem. this would not allow fuel to flow out of the tank and carb bowls would go dry in 2-5 seconds under WOT.
