No extra power from mods

I have added +4 timing , milled head ,vforce 3 reeds, k&n pods and +4 swinger ... i already had toomey pipes .... the powerband is smoother than before but it doesnt really pull any harder.... i had 280 jets with just the toomey's and i went to a 320 when i did the rest of the mods ...have i done something wrong???

i did a plug chop and it looked good

Ohh and i was running 50/50 race gas

The + 4 swinger is hurting my traction on dirt but i raced my buddy on his cr250 on blacktop and he pulled on me the same as he always has

I can`t see why you couldnt notice but with that +4 swinger your front end shouldnt come up. if you port your shee i think all your mods will contribute to a different ride. i noticed a difference with just the +4 timing. all i can think of is check your compression.

look like you really really need to get some tires on that thing, if your running those stockers your just probally just spinning and not going. get ya some good tires so you can hook up and get that power to the ground

i would have to guess the +4 swinger is completely pointless on your banshee, its probaly not doin anything but hurting your traction and adding weight, no reason to have such a long swinger with just those mods... am i wrong?

For the hills i shoot i have a +2 and the front stays down. i think +4 with them mods its pointless but i`m sure it looks better lol. for me it would be over kill.

yep, if them tires dont hook up it will slowly get slower. my tires are all but balled now and i noticed a big loss in power over the last few weeks.

yea extended swinger for hill shooting is definatly a good idea, but for everyday riding, its pointless

I dont think that the +4 swing arm is pointless. When I had similar mods (bolt ons) I couldnt keep the front end down ever when I would try to launch. That was even launching in second gear with stock gearing. I would have bought a +4 if I had kept my bike in that form. I dont know who made the rules of how much of a swing arm you can run but I dont think they apply to everyone.

 

As for the reason why you dont feel any performance gain. I didnt really have any seat of the pants change with any of the mods you did other than the +4 timing. If you didnt feel anything with a timing change you should double check and make sure you have it installed correctly.

if u used a degree key u may have put it in backwards and retarted the timing 4 degrees insted of advancing it.. that would kill a lot of power..

I have a ricky stator timing plate and i am 99% sure i advanced it and didnt retard it

It ran good but i thought i would feel it pulling harder ... When i installed the pipes it was a HUGE difference with these mods only slightly better ....Last time i rode was at pismo beach ... and this time i was at 3000 feet maybe the elevation was tricking me??

I installed the +4 swinger after i realized beer + sand = rubbing my grab bar on the ground and hanging on for my life

 

I probably only have 25 hours on the engine... i didnt check the compression but i think it should be good

trust me loose the stock tires and get some holeshots or something that power will show up real quick. and if u get a porting job ur gonna shit ur pants. haha. no lose those dunlops

yea your gona need some tires , traction is everything , as for those mods you are not going to notice a huge diffrence , porting is power .
