Flo Jo Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 My 01' shee is running like crap. First off its .40 over with wisecos, v force 3's, +4 timing K&N pods, 320 mains, 27.5 pilots, 157 left and 159 right comp checked yesterday. This is waht it does it starts runs fine let it warm up take off feels fine then i feel a slight bog then its fine then it just shuts down. When it shuts down it doesnt lock up or anything it just coasts to a stop it doesnt lock the rear wheels up. I Have to let it sit for a few minutes then it will fire right up again. Checked plugs light tan color and switched cdi box and coil with sons 04 shee with same results. I have completely taken the crbs down and cleaned thouroughly and i have checked the reeds theye look fine but theye are on the 2nd season. By the way im in Riverside CA and 95% of riding is done in Glamis so elevation is about 800'. i have no clue and the tranny oil is clean and full. Anybody have any clues? Quote

dajogejr Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Ohm the stator and the coil. It's either a bad stator, bad coil or more commonly bad spark plug leads (end caps) very common on stock coils. Quote
blowit Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Probably not the plug wires with a total loss like that. Either stator, CDI, or a short in the system. Brandon Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 I have found THIS to be helpful when fooling with the electrical system... Quote
