I know how everyone feels about boost bottles(there shit). So I bought a intake with built in cross over tubes.

So whats up the reed spacers, are they worth messing with. Are they a gain in anyway.

i know how everyone has there own beliefs and opinions so here goes mine.. they too are shit.. i would spend money on reeds or a degree key or better yet a timing plate.. spend a little extra and get something thats gonna make a difference you can tell when u are riding it.. not what they claim on a dyno.. if my bike hauled ass in a major way and only dyno'd 60hp i wouldn't give a shit.. it hauls ass lol get what im sayin?

Snop did a dyno comparo that showed a loss of HP...minimal as it was. Definitely no gain of power.

Yep they just move the carbs back and up to clear the float bowl and clutch arm. Since you already got one of those big thick intakes you dont need the reedspacers. My boss racing intake clears my pwk 33's with no problem.

Thanks guys!!!!! I bought a pair for the shee, I'm currenty going through a new build right now. I'm running stock carbs, wanting to keep all the low end as possible. I just ride the woods. I've decided not run the spacers, thanks for the info....

What stroke is your bike, what pipes on it, Whats it ported like? What do you do with it (Sand, Trails, drag)????

If you bought and intake with a built in crossover, they are generally thicker than standard intakes.

So...even if you bought bigger carbs, I bet they'd still clear the clutch arm, if the boots are large enough, of course.

4mil stroke, bored 80 over with cool head(19cc domes) Kevin Herr did my build, he ported and polished the cylinders for the aggresive trail port, woods riding. Bike has FMF SST pipes with 4+ on timing..

It will make a difference for the better on your bike. Bigger cc and bigger stroke motors will benefit from reed spacers.

If that was the case why doesn't anyone with big cub motors, Cheetahs, TRex, etc., every use them?
