Bansh-eman Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 are you talking about the blueing where they hook to your jugs? this isnt uncommon, its normally caused by being lean on jetting but even with perfect spot on jetting it will happen over time, you can polish it out. try searching for it, there was someone that found some stuff that worked well along time ago... chevrolet banshee Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 i have t5 exhaust on my shee but they look burnt is it normal? i bought them brand new.... What do you mean by "Burnt" are they just turning color or what??? Quote

bonzai272 Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 How long did you have them on before they started turning colors like that? And the color is there all the way to the silencer? Sounds pretty lean man. Quote

fredloke Posted October 22, 2007 Author Report Posted October 22, 2007 yeah there colored all the way to the silencer except the fatty itself Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 either your running WAY lean or those pipes are old as fuk! blueing should not go that far back. its not uncommon for it to be right where they attach to the jugs but thats it Quote
fredloke Posted October 22, 2007 Author Report Posted October 22, 2007 if im running to lean i should go up on my mains right it has to be that ,cus i just bought the pipes a month ago brand new in box and everything Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 wow, somethings not right there man, need to do some rejetting for sure. Is it on both sides? Only one month you say? Thats WAY too soon for blueing to happen, and especially if its up by the silencer or the end of the headpipe. What mains you running? Dont jets/needles come with FMFs anymore? Eric Quote
fredloke Posted October 22, 2007 Author Report Posted October 22, 2007 (edited) yea the pipes came with the jets and needles and i installed the 270 jets and needle but i just switched the mains to 310 and went up to 32.5 pilots oh and its on both pipes and there t5s not fmf Edited October 22, 2007 by fredloke Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 at sea lvl with no airbox lid and pipes stock carbs should be around 300-310 mains. 27.5 pilot neddle 4th clip 2 turns on air screw... Quote
blueshee03 Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 i don't wanna say whether i think its lean or rich but burning to rich can also in some cases cause blueing of the pipes. Quote
