dajogejr Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 I think 2nd clip is too lean...but the pilot is too rich...which is why it would bog from 1/4 to half, since you're trying to run off the pilot jet, the needle is too lean, but when you get to the needle and into the main, it starts getting what it needs...(1/2 to WOT).. Now...if you keep playing around with all this jetting and it gets you nowhere... Time to check electrical. Spark/ignition can play games with your jetting all day and leave you clueless.... Quote

Took it up to tolland,ma yesterday, and its boggin under full throttle, then it kicks when you let off, what do you recommend for jetting, I will start freshl -300-400 Elevation sometimes I goto mass too... So it changes.. *Toomey T3 w/ Hush Kit *Vforce 3 reeds *K&N Filter with pre filter *1/2 holes Ported lid no Snorkle *Mikuni 28's *Big Bore ( I beleive) *White Bro, Boost Bottle (I order a cross over tube) *Cool Head *Run 32:1 Dominator Amsoil on Super Unleaded What Needle, Pilot, Main, etc should I start with. dajogejr Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 Hard to say.. IF those were stockers, I'd say 27.5 or 25 pilots, 280 mains and stock needles on middle clip. If it's tinny or revs but no power on top end, go richer...if it bogs, go leaner. I've never messed with 28mm Mikunis... And I'd start checking your electrical as well, could be something stupid and you'll chase jetting forever. Bad flywheel, coil or stator will cause you a bunch of nightmares. Quote
