fitz18 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Report Posted October 11, 2007 You at least need the fibers. Got a close up pic of the most discolored or worst looking steel? I cant seem to get the close up pictures on. It keeps telling me they are to big. Il trya agin here now. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 if all you had was 6 steels i dont see how you where able to get any pressure against the inner hub and pressure plate to even move the bike... Quote
fitz18 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Report Posted October 11, 2007 Is this a joke? Im deadly serious guys this is what i have taken out. Here is the close up of the worst one. Quote

fitz18 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Report Posted October 11, 2007 So I need a new clutch? Im so confused!!! Agh! lol Quote
bigboybanshee Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 I still can't believe it, it just doesn't make sense... You had NOTHING that came out of your clutch that looked like the fibers on the left of the pic? Quote
fitz18 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Report Posted October 11, 2007 I still can't believe it, it just doesn't make sense... You had NOTHING that came out of your clutch that looked like the fibers on the left of the pic? Nothing at all. Just the 6 plates which were kinda stuck together with the oil but thats its. Can anyone clear this up? This is obviously a first?? Would there be any reason why people take these fiber plates out?? In theory would the clutch still work like mine did or are these fiber plates essential?? Have i defied the laws of science!! Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 if the pressure plate has nothing to push against then your bike should not move.your clutch works off the pressure holding the plates together making the basket spin, they could all be steel or what ever but with only 6 steels you should have a large gap from your last plate the the pressure plate. making the clutch spin and the bike not move. J-Madd Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 If for some reason the basket was "Stuck" to the inner hub, the crank would turn the drive train, but you would have no clutch pull, and the clutch would be useless...when you put it in gear it would just go. Quote
fitz18 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Report Posted October 11, 2007 So i need a new clutch? Man these shee's just eat money!!! Quote
