You at least need the fibers. Got a close up pic of the most discolored or worst looking steel?

 

I cant seem to get the close up pictures on. It keeps telling me they are to big. Il trya agin here now.

You had NOTHING that came out of your clutch that looked like the fibers on the left of the pic?

Nothing at all. Just the 6 plates which were kinda stuck together with the oil but thats its. Can anyone clear this up? This is obviously a first?? Would there be any reason why people take these fiber plates out?? In theory would the clutch still work like mine did or are these fiber plates essential?? Have i defied the laws of science!! :huh:

if the pressure plate has nothing to push against then your bike should not move.your clutch works off the pressure holding the plates together making the basket spin, they could all be steel or what ever but with only 6 steels you should have a large gap from your last plate the the pressure plate. making the clutch spin and the bike not move.

If for some reason the basket was "Stuck" to the inner hub, the crank would turn the drive train, but you would have no clutch pull, and the clutch would be useless...when you put it in gear it would just go.
