MarineNYC Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 I have to replace my tie rods because one of the lolipops is screwed out way too far and keeps bending when i take a hard hit. Is there any special way to start from scratch and install both while keeping correct alignment? How do I check for correct alignment? Quote

ranshee Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Are the other sides screwed way in. If so set both to an equal length on both sides and start from scratch. Screw both ends of the heims all the way in and screw both out evenly until you are satisfied. Quote
Snopczynski Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 It takes me like 1.5 fuckin hours to set toe on my banshee. Its a pain in the ass to get the bars straight with the tie downs, then measure to the same place at the center of each tire front and back. Just when I start getting somewhere, something always happens and moves the bars or something stupid. I am about ready to fabricate a set of fixtures bolt on the hubs for setting toe, then it will be way easy to do. Quote
