1.6i Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 yah its a plain yfz raptor, i guess im comparing them to my elkas's.. no comparison lol... Quote
Michael Jackson Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 and i know i know, its not comparing apples to apples, but imagine if the banshee was a 700twin... even with the same stock pipes, air box lid on, snorkel and all..bone stock.they would be in different area codes Quote
1.6i Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 for sure....no replacement for displacement... Quote
Michael Jackson Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 i meant, compare it to a reaptor700, if the banshee was 686cc's stock, it would be out of control , especially with that stock suspension Quote
ZR2Freak Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 I agree with the last post... I like the 700's and all.. But if its taking a big bore machine to outrun something that is half as small cc wise.. then yea... if the Shee's were 686's like MJ said... Nothing would ever touch one...hell i dont even know if you would be able to stay on one long enough to ride it...but yea, its a close world between the Screamers and the Thumpers now n days... Electronics are taking over as everyone knows.. But ya still cant beat a banshee dollar for dollar Quote
450_killer Posted October 13, 2007 Author Report Posted October 13, 2007 (edited) yeah, i have WAY more done to it than some pipes.....its the fastest fourwheeler in the county....hit 96 the other day n still was pullin, just ran outta road. but anyone who has or has seen a banshee should know, they never truly stop pullin til you let off the throttle haha Edited October 13, 2007 by 450_killer Quote

theshee Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 yeah, i have WAY more done to it than some pipes.....its the fastest fourwheeler in the county....hit 96 the other day n still was pullin, just ran outta road. but anyone who has or has seen a banshee should know, they never truly stop pullin til you let off the throttle haha Right.... what exactally do you have done? Im calling BS on this one. Quote
RagunCajun Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 my ranger could probably hit 96 with the shee in back of it....but that's a big maybe. Perhaps if there was a very strong tail wind. :ermm: Quote
Michael Jackson Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 haha yep, like ragun said.. the fastest my banshee has ever gone was about 95mph.... in the back of my f150 Quote
450_killer Posted October 14, 2007 Author Report Posted October 14, 2007 I promise I'm not BS'in this, I had my buddy follow me in his truck, this is what I have done to it, Toomey T-6 pipes ported and polished cylinders pro design flow control intake manifold boost bottle pro flow K&N filter and airbox conversion flange carbon fiber reeds reed cage spacers adjustable timing plate set at 10* Henson clutch basket Y-Z 490 cluth springs E-Z oull clutch lever barnet cluthces aluminum skid plate super cooler motion pro throttle cable and carb., top cap kit carbs re-jetted .010 milled off top of cylinders 2 base gaskets Wiseco pistons Quote
theshee Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 He needs to get his speedo checked... The only mods you have that would gain you speed is ported cylinders, K&N filter setup, and reeds. I have more then that on my wifes bike and it will not run even close to 90mph. Also, if your bike is on gas, you may want to back your timing off about 6*. 10* timing on gas is an explosion looking for a place to happen! Quote
kawiking Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 (edited) i'd still love my shee, my buddy has a craycraft 686 ported, barkers and so on..... raced yesterday.. when i hit about 4th id pull him by 2-3 bikes(400 ft + ).raced about a week ago (all this on sand) about 200ft and we were side by side... hole shot wins!!! i have alot of bolt ons and a port job... he's alot better rider than i am. dajogejr Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Sorry I'm late to this party... Get the speedo in that truck checked... 10 degrees of timing on gas, ported motor with T6s, milled head....and a boost bottle. Talk about your clusterfuck... No way..not happening....not 96MPH. You'd have to have a stronger motor to pull the gearing you'd need to run that kind of MPH.... BS wagon is a coming along now.... Quote
