BSHEE400 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 can anyone show me some good close up pictures of cut front fenders so that i can see where i should cut the floppy, dis-colored bastards (when i have a crash it's normally a pretty big one) thanks Quote
Ricehater Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 (edited) When i cut mine i used masking tape to get the design i liked.... just go slow and cut off a little at a time untill they start looking cool ... i used a jig saw with a plywood blade and it cut them very good but make sure you use alot of masking tape so you dont scratch the fenders with the saw .... i put tape on the bottom of the saw and on each side of the cut leaving about 1/8th inch in between as a guide..... then i used 200 grit sandpaper and wet sanded the edges I dont know if this helps ...kinda dark... maybe you can brighten up your screen Edited September 24, 2007 by Ricehater Quote
Animalman294 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 I did mine with a 4" angle grinder with a cut-off wheel, and it turned out really clean after cleaning it up with a little sand paper............... Quote
Dinner Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 (edited) I taped mine off, then took a marker so i could follow along easier, then took a utility knife and cut away. Took me a little while being as I took little amounts off at a time, but they turned out good. I did the simple "race cut" fenders..so it wasn't too hard.
