nitroburner13 Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 i recently bought an engine for my banshee and was told it had a 4 mill. crank in it. i took it apart and noticed there was no stroker plate and the domes dont seem to be cut for a stroker. the only thing i found was the markings on the side of the crank and the rods. they say 29L. does anyone know whether these markings indicate a 4 mill. or is there anything else i should look for? did i get ripped off? jbooker82 Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Roll the motor over with the head off and see if the pistons come out of the cylinders a little. They should come out about 2mm more than usual. Quote
TurboBanshee420 Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 go to harbor freight and get a cheap set of dial calipers(verniers) and put the piston @ BDC. Use the slider that comes out of the bottom when you open it to measure from cylinder surface to piston dome along the wall. It basically a cheap depth gauge. stock stroke is 54mm i think. Quote
