bbruischart Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 No hole should be there. Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 there should be a rubber plug in that hole. If it is the one near the top of the case. Quote
Leigh Posted September 17, 2007 Author Report Posted September 17, 2007 yeah its at the top of the case... it aims stright down Quote
sredish Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 yea, if its the one I'm thinking, there should be a rubber plug deal in there. Quote
Leigh Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 is it bad that theres not a plug in there? Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 well if you get a stone in there it could damage your crank trigger or worse take out your stator. Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 There are two drain passages: one centered behind the cylinders and one forward of the clutch arm. Neither lead into the cases, so a plug is not necessary if it is the drain passage (at least that is how it is on my 2001). Quote
Leigh Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 well if you get a stone in there it could damage your crank trigger or worse take out your stator. It doesnt lead to the stator... its right next to the one where the stator wires come through Quote
