quick question

i just noticed a hole in my case on the left side right behind where the vin is on the motor...its not where the stator wire comes through but right next to it... should the be something in there or its just a open hole???

there should be a rubber plug in that hole. If it is the one near the top of the case.

well if you get a stone in there it could damage your crank trigger or worse take out your stator.

There are two drain passages: one centered behind the cylinders and one forward of the clutch arm. Neither lead into the cases, so a plug is not necessary if it is the drain passage (at least that is how it is on my 2001).

It doesnt lead to the stator... its right next to the one where the stator wires come through
