bbruischart Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Last weekend my banshee started runing funny. One cylinder (right when on her) was not firing very hard. I got off and that same carb was spilling gas. I tapped on the carb with a screwdriver head to see if maybe the float. Not the case. Parked it took the carbs off said F cleaning them Im buying a two to one. I hate cleaning two carbs. So I get the 2to1 install it today. Fire it up and still running shitty. Same thing. Let it idle for a minute and it was spiiting oil from the connector where my pipes come together. Shut it off checked both cylinders for comp. good. good spark. I think maybe a case seal or something. If so does case need split? If thats the case Im done for the year. New paint on frame and a gusset kit. This sucks its too early for quitting. Thanks My friends. No tors No other garbage to do this. Quote

bbruischart Posted September 14, 2007 Author Report Posted September 14, 2007 Not my premix. I am way to particular. My tank is cleaned new hoses. all of it. Not a fuel issue. Quote
ohiobanshee Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Your jetted to rich if you have oil running out of your pipes. Pull the carb apart and check what size your main, and pilot jet is, also what needle and what the clip position is.Post it up and somebody will help. Quote
bbruischart Posted September 14, 2007 Author Report Posted September 14, 2007 Its not my jetting rode all season with the same jetting. thanks though. it is a problem outside of my carbs. same problem two diff carbs. My other carbs were on all season and ran fine. Quote
dajogejr Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Right crank seal....yep, cases have to be split. Quote
rubberneck Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 If its the right cylinder blowing oil, I believe it could be the crank seal. How is the oil level in the trans. If its down, that is a good indication you are sucking trans fluid into the cylinder. I believe someone on here has instructions for a leakdown tester Quote

dajogejr Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 If you don't want to piece your own together, Bob @ R&B Racing sells one already made. His name on here is machwon, or you can call him @ 517-388-3662 Quote
