sek2dts Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 i am running stock bore stock port banshee with high compression wiseco's, 22cc domes, vforce3's, cascade 2-1 carb kit, +4 timing and toomey t6's. i ordered shearer small bore inframes and are gonna be running them until the winter( i live in new jersey) when i am gonna switch to 4mm 68mm cub. i am running 195 main now, will i have to jump up to a 200 or 205 with my new pipes? dajogejr Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Keep the T6 on until you get the cub...you will hate the pipes on a stock port motor with a 2 into 1 carb setup...your T6 pipes will probably actually produce more usable power... Quote
wesw Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 get rid of those 2-1 carbs setup on that cub. then you will be a lot happier. Quote

sek2dts Posted September 17, 2007 Author Report Posted September 17, 2007 i just put the shearer pipes on just for kicks to see how bad it would be and it was the total opposite. quad pulls way harder from mid all the way to top, feels way better than the t6's. Quote

How was the bottom end power difference? Quote
RadarRacing Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 How was the bottom end power difference? I'd like to know too. I'm thinkin of getting them for the dune bike but wanna have some torque too to pull my butt around. Quote
sredish Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 can you or someone post a pic of the cascade 2-1 carb kit? I've never heard of it or seen it and can't find anything about it on the net. Quote
fernando427 Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 www.cascadeinnovation.com click on banshee performance then on carburetors, It seems the listing for the 2-1 is gone but the picture at the top is the 2-1 which looks the same as the trinity. Quote
sek2dts Posted September 17, 2007 Author Report Posted September 17, 2007 i def lost a good chuck of bottom, but the mid through the top pulls hard as hell. when i had the t6's on it felt like it was beening choked up top. it felt like when i was like 3/4 throttle it was faster than when its full. when i put the shearer's on it was like holyshit, its hard to explain the motor seems to rev out faster and it just wants to keep on going. does make sense what everybody says about the stock motor size and stock ports being bad for the pipes. the shearer's are way bigger than toomeys or any of the other normal pipes. i am putting out 170 psi each cylinder on comp test so maybe thats why i have a decent midrange with the pipes. i am on vacation now when i get back next week ill post pictures of everthing.
