It allows you to let the Alky sit in the tank and carb for a few days. I never let my Alky mix sit in the tank or carb overnight. I did when I first started using it but ran into problems. I buy whatever is in stock lubed not lubed and run it and drain/flush it daily. Quote

dynodon Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 If you get the UNlubed, I would recomend that you use the M2 with the Beanol. The M2 is the "lube" thats is in the lubed methanol, Its just a stabilizer as stated, and helps the Beanol mix easier IMO. But to answer directly, I always bought the unlubed, that way I know whats running in my bike. Quote
Tedder Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 (edited) The place where I get my methanol will put it in also. I was told it's a top end lubricant for four stroke motors. I don't remember off hand how many ounces is added to 55 gallons but it's very little. I doubt you'd see a perfomance drop if you got it but since you pre-mix there's no reason for it. So i guest the question is lubed or unlubed? I would go for unlubed (that term makes me giggle). What the vendors are doing is adding a fuel stabilizer. It's actually pretty gay unless they know what they are doing. You are better off adding your own stabilizer or just using your fuel in the same week you buy it in. IMO :geek: Quote

As said, the lube is a 4 stroke thing (giggle all you want Mark, we all know you're a two stroker...LOL).. You're premixing, no need for it. M1 is what I run, VP...but pricey. M3 has the upper end lube and other additives, an oxegenator of some type...as does M5. Not needed for a two stroker... Once again...to be clear... chugger Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 I tried both this weekend the lubed seemed to bog more where as the unlubed felt more crisp. I am getting the bike dnoed tonight on alky so i will see if i can get the jetting correct with a wideband. Ever since i put the shearers on the mid range has been pig rich i know i wont have much mid punch with the shearers but damn i used a whole tank in a matter hours this wasnt constantly running just make a few passes and sit and make a few more for a couple of passes. Hopefully she will lay dawn decent numbers and i can get the afr correct. What is the target afr with alky i know gas is 14.7:1. Any info would be great. lates Chris Quote
BansheeDan Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 the lube is called top end lube...... its used mostly by circle track racers..... as said before it makes it so you dont have to purge those motors(big v8's) IMO the top end lube would make your fuel to oil mix way too rich...
