Full Flight A-Arms

i really want to upgrade my front end to +2+1 with quality shocks, can anyone reccomend any other options?

anyways i just did a search (left it a bit late i know...) and found a bunch of info on these arms.

 

what i really want to know is this:

 

what would the best set up be for me if i want my banshee to do everything. as in, race flat track on saturday nights, but still be able to hit the trails and the odd moto cross track on sundays...

 

if i got say +2+1 arms, a round house -1 swinger, and top notch elkas, would the shocks give me enough adjustability to cater for all types of riding?

 

i love my banshee and do not want a 4 poke or anything else, i just want my banshee to be able to do everything, it doesnt have to do it exceptionally well, but even if it did everything better then it does standard i would be happy!

 

surely this isnt too much to ask?

 

any advice on the best packages available would be much appreciated!

I run the +2+1 Full Flights and I love them. I ride tight trails on the way to the moto track. I get along with them great. The only thing to consider about them is trail riding. I pulled up to a stock shee and with the same size tires on the front, I bet mine sat 3" lower. So if you ride on rocky trails I would consider that. I run a stock swinger and jump the crap out of mine daily and I have no issues. Running through the trails gets tight at times, but gas is on the right! :biggrin: I would recomend the Full Flights!

i have a set of asr american star racing a arms and love them. there around the same price.

The first few arms that fullflight made were shit if i remember correct, donno about them anymore. ASR makes very quality products, and thats what I would go for, for the price... And the only reason the front would sit lower is if your shocks arent built for the extra width..

increase the preload on your shocks, that'll raise your ride hieght..

I run the full flight Cro-Moly version and I have had a great experience with Bill over at Full Flight. I have the full heim joint version with the rock guard option. Life Time Warranty is a plus. I bought my elkas from someone else and Bill recognized that the rear spring was the wrong one and bent over backwards to get me the right one from Elka in a timely manner. The full flights with the elka shocks, the elka rear link, etc. really smoothes out the rough stuff at speed.

Fisrt, I love the name (Mark).

 

You have to be careful with companies such as Full Flight and ASR as they are on the lower end of the market. I would assume that they cut some corners with materials and jig manufacture to keep costs down.

 

Hopefully some of the folks on here have bought the product in question and can give some good feedback (about the only way I would feel comfortable kicking out the money for something from this company) :geek: .

i have asr a-arms and the only complaint i have is that the hiems wore out within a year...i need to find higher quality replacement hiems..

I have an additional Armadillo aluminum guard on mine as I tend to bounce around on rocks when I ride and wanted the extra protection, dan.

I like that plate. My Janssenn arms have something similair on them.

 

When you originally mentioned the rock guard thing, I was thing it was some sort of heim joint protection and I was interested as to what that might look like. Alas, it was not, I shall have to keep dreaming. :biggrin:

I thought it was Janssen that had the boots for the heims to keep them protected from sand and dirt getting in them. They looked like an absolute bitch to put on.

Janssenn is the place that makes the rubber boots that are reallyt hard to put on. I have some of them. I was thinking the rock guard deal might have been something else. :geek:
