OK, I'm playing around with a set of mikuni carbs and have no clue what needle jets and needles I need to run on alky.

I've got 34TM's bored to 35.5 and powerjets already installed, and I'm trying to switch them over for alky, but don't know what size needle jets to get or what needles to run. Also need some billet bowls if anyone has some hookups on billet bowls.

I know my needle jet has to be between CW003-570 and CW003-589. Help!

I had a K&T 350 with the same carbs (34 Mikuni TM's bored to 35.5). I ran the 5FP17 needle in the middle (3rd from the top) For the pilot jet I ran a 80 or 85 with the air screw 1 turn out. My power jet was adjustable and it had a range of 6 full turns I ran it at 3 full turns open. For the main jets I bought drill bits form a tool shop .110", .113", and .116" I drilled out my own main jets and normally ran the .113" When you drill out the mains you need to drill out the needle jet as well. Needle jet is 389 Q-2. So when you change jets you need to change the needle jet as well. The main jet and needle jet need to be the same size. I bought my needle jets form Sudco. My bike was drag ported and I had the timing at 7 or 8 degrees advanced. 17cc domes. Cpi inframe pipes. I duned my bike and this jetting worked great for me. I also mixed my oil 20:1 used Castor 927.

Hope this helps

I have no idea what needle or needle jet orafice to tell you to use with TM34 carbs and alky but I do have 2 spare sizes lying around in my spare parts collection. P8's and Q2's. P8's are too rich for most gas banshee motors and Q2's are way to rich for a banshee gas motor. P4's and P6's are in the banshee gas range. They are $16 per carb from sudco, but If I can find them you could have them for cheap. Here is a good reference chart on sudcos website that shows what needle jet sizes are available for TM's in order from lean to rich and the exact measure of the orafice diameter.
