I noticed you said you put in a timing plate.. You might want to double check your pickup coil gap.

 

 

I have no idea what you mean by this. Please advise!

Pick up gap is between the pickup coil and the "nub" of the flywheel. It should be in the .020-.030 range.

 

Okay I read something on that and I can use a matchbook to judge that amount of room? The front cover from a matchbook?

 

AND FYI my head lights and break lights and stuff work awesome when the bike is on with the 200 watt rickey stator if that makes any difference.

 

I guess its different when its actually under load and im driving the bike down the street. That is when it starts to run sh*ty when I hit the power band.

my bike did the same thing after i installed the TORS elimination kit(would idle but would not rev out) what i ended up having to do is connecting the two wires going into the throttle then it ran fine. might not be the right way to fix problem but it worked for me.
