530grafix Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 just wanted to know what everyone thought of this gearing configuration? 14/44 last weekend i ran 13/44 and it ran through the gears really fast and in 6th it just stopped pulling and plained out...also launched in 2nd and spun until third. probably cause i was justtrying to use up my stockers. gonna try holeshots this weekend. any one have any reccomendations? mods are in my sig.. NYUK Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 there is no set number on the gears to run, you will have to try different combos. on my alky 350 the magic numbers was 17 38 winding 5 th out to the quarter. on my 400 cheetah it was 18 38 all 6 gears. it is whatever your bike can pull effectively out of the hole and on top. just buy some sunstars and try different ratios.
