jayzx10r
Please somebody tell me what a dial-a-jet is! Any input is fine. Dial-a-Jet Here is a link to the manufacturer: http://www.thunderproducts.com/dial_a_jet.htm It basically allows you to add more fuel if you are at a lean condition...I think. The question to ask yourself is...do you want to alter your jetting while you are riding? Chances are you are not going to add more fuel when your 'shee is running like a bat out of hell...which is what 2-strokes do when they are running lean!! Personally, I think you should find your proper jetting and then adjust it for significant altitude/temp changes using a well known system...like the Mikuni Pocket Tuner. Convert to Keihin numbers if needed. See it at: http://www.pingelonline.com/pocket_tuner.htm
adrenaline junky
Thank you. I'm just going to stick to jetting my quad the normal way. I just wanted to know what the dial-a-jet was. Had no intention of using it.

dajogejr
Similar to a power jet. You drill the bell on the carb. You epoxy the jet in...must be sealed. You can either break off the overflow tube in the bowl, or drill and tap the bowl with a barb for a fuel fitting...
extrme-shee-racer
Dial-A-Jets are the biggest waste of F****ing money, I had them on my MXZ 583 Racing sled and each carb had two so a total of four on the motor, and they just kept screwing up the motor I blew 3 top ends on my sled with them on and as soon as i ripped thos P.O.S 's off my sled never blew anymore pistons, and it tells you to jet your carbs smaller when you put those things on, so If i were you i would not waste my money
rocketboy
these are best suited for fuels ~other~than just race gas and work better on bigger displacement engines if i had a ported 350 on gas ...i wouldnt waste your time
