Kick start

Hey guys,

 

I have a problem with my kick start, it's nothing too serious but. I took it off because it was ratteling (sp) and i put a small rubber washer on the bottom to stop the noise. Then i noticed it didnt work so i took it off and put the kicker back on. Now when ever i turn left the kicker comes out and jabs me in the leg, it just moves freely now. I dont know what to do to get the resistance back.

Buy a rebuild kit, or you can just put a new o-ring in and not pay $10.

did you put the spring and ball bearing back in it?

Well, the internals in the kicker obviously have gone bad. It should click into place. Im not sure where you can get a rebuild kit but Im pretty sure you can find the o.e.m. parts to fix it at bikebandit.com.

Found out what it was, when i took the kicker off the ball bearing came out and i didnt realize it. So then i looked on the floor and found it, noticed the spring was broken, got a new one from the shop and now it works like a charm.
