FasterThanU90 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Report Posted July 16, 2007 this is great guys yea the project is due thurs im gonna do a powerpoint im throwin it down like this why u need to purge the fuel/ what happens corrosive and rust whys if u dont purge the fuel/ types of purge bottles and fuel lines/ different types of carb setups and throw in a plug reading i could really use a shot of the inside(air fillter side) of the carb to give an idea of the powrjet> shot of the containers u keep the alky in corrosive motor shots and sum rich and lean plugs that would be great thanks alot guys i have a thanks/source page at the end so ill throw up ur screennames if u want Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Report Posted July 16, 2007 o sum of ur fuel pumps and routing would be sweet Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 The alky is real porous, so it absorbs water real easy. Then it evaporates and leaves all the water laying in your motor where the alky used to be! causing your bearings to rust and take a poop! For a purge bottle. I just use my old coolant overflow bottle with the old tee fitting from the stock fuel lines. On hook your fuel lines from your tank, hook up the purge bottle, fill it with gas oil mix, and fire the bike up. Run it till it gets real boggy like, it smokes like crazy. Shut her down, unhook the purge bottle and hook your fuel lines back up. Also, you can either fill your tank all the way to the top with alky and plug the vent, or you can drain the tank and leave it dry till ya wanna run it again. Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 here is a fuel pump pic I found Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted July 17, 2007 Author Report Posted July 17, 2007 fuel pump shot is perfect thankyou ya sum people feel more comfortable just throwing on there gas carbs because the alky jetting is so fat im away from home so if u can get a shot of sum gas carbs intake side vs alky carbs that would be great Quote
