zach45 Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 i took out the 4 screws and the reeds seem like they are stuck on the motor... i got vf3reeds comming so i wanted to be ready to take the stock ones out... Quote
Bill Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Probly gonna haft to pry it out,use somthing thin like A razor and you might not destroy the gaskets. Quote
theshee Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Just jerk their asses out of there. They will stick a little. VF3s come with gaskets so just get the old reeds out. You will also have to modify the stock intakes for the VF3s to fit as well. They come with instructions how to do it. Quote
zach45 Posted July 12, 2007 Author Report Posted July 12, 2007 i had a feeling i had to do that... thanks... Quote

theshee Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 im buying them used...im going to ask him if it comes with all that... ah.... you can get the intake gaskets from cascade cheap. To modify the stock intakes you just have to cut the part that goes inside the stock reed cage off. It wont go in the VF3s and nees taken out, just cut it flush with the back of the intake. Quote

knight_ripper Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 i usually have to tap them pretty hard sometimes with a hammer to get them out. they sticky. new gaskets come with new reeds. they are cheap from Yamaha too. Quote
