Plastic Cutting Poll

Me and my buddy keep arguing about race cut fronts on banshees. He says they look gay and I love them. My play bike has race cut fronts now with the flare. I told him alot of people like the look of race cuts. He didnt believe me so I figured I would do this poll to find out

I like cut better for duning... I cant really say for anything else, I only use my banshees for sand.

I voted "whatever", because I'm kinda on the fence... I don't really care for full cut fenders most of the time, but I don't like the full fenders either. I love the way the fenders on my Banshee are cut (they're cut where the fenders flatten out at the top and back), but I don't see them cut that way very often.

i like full fenders for trail riding where you might encounter sticks, rocks, stumps, bushes and stuff. full fenders are also nice when the ground is damp or wet. otherwise the front tyres just fling wet dirt up at ya when ya turn. the underside of my front fenders are scratched and gouged from things that have hit them instead of me.

the other thing is that banshee front fenderes only keep things from comming up at the top half of youre body. they dont stop stuff from being thrown up from the tyres and hitting youre feet, legs, waist etc. but front fenders sure keep youre torso and face clean.

 

but race cut definitly looks better. but if i cared about looks l would probably buy some billet and such. personally id rather go fast than look fast.

With my experience the full fenders dont stop shit, i have mine cut and wouldnt ride it any other way :biggrin: . as for the rears i dont have any there either, they are race cut altho and laying in my shop.

I dont like cut rears. Im mixed on the front. I actually like the front somewhat. as far as looks, I like the banshee either way. The sheild has a difference, but hardly at all. The main reason I cut mine is because I do mostly fast woods riding where there are always stumps and rocks to get around in tight spaces and having visability right up to the tires is a must for me.

i voted yes because i think they look cool cut but i dont see myself doing it to mine unless i have a second set of fenders.

its not worth it to me to get sprayed in the face anytime i ride a wet trail, which is half the year around here. for summertime it would be sweet though.

I voted yes! I love the look of shaved fenders. Go for it.

I shaved the front but haven't touch the rears yet. My girl rides my bike alot & doesn't have boots yet, I'm good but I'm scared of knobbs getting ahold of her leg + not sure how it would look with an oversized tank. I guess I should start a thread on that Just do it!!!

i say keep the fenders on. Im sick of my cut fenders. too much dirt, mud etc hits me every ride. new england rideing.
