markyb31 Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 I just bought a 94 banshee and the chain is junk. It was a o-ring chain and it is rusty and the rings are falling out of it. I started looking at new chains online and found stock size to be 520 x 104 (I think). I went and took mine off and counted the links and I have 100. The bike has a laeger arm on it but I do not know if it is stock size or not. Does 100 link seem right? How can I tell if the swing arm is stock length? And is there 100 link chains or do you have to break theme and buy a master link? Quote
WALLACE84 Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 I think 108 is the stock chain length Quote
markyb31 Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 It might be, I could not remember. Why would I have a 100 link? Quote
chevy7398 Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 stock is 104, you must have either a smaller than stock sprockets (less teeth) or a neg length swinger Quote
markyb31 Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 stock is 104, you must have either a smaller than stock sprockets (less teeth) or a neg length swinger It is a 15 up front and a 40 renthal in rear. Stock is 14 41 I think so would that be almost the same. The swinger is about 17 inches from center of axle to the center of the pivot point where it mounts to the bike. Quote
