Flanagans twin Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 hey guys i was just wondering how i could possibly polish my brake and clutch levers..and brake fluid resivoir etc..? thanks! Quote
theshee Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 Just take them off, load some good compound on a wheel and go to it. That black stuff is a bitch to get off sometimes, but it can be done. Ive never done levers, my wifes are black and likes them, and mine are silver already, but Im sure they could be done as well... Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 Get a little dremel tool with a wire brush wheel on it and use that to get the black stuff off then take it to a buffer wheel for a while and should come out looking good. Quote
sampleba Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 I did my throttle cover and the hardest part was getting the black paint out of the lettered areas. Quote
RagunCajun Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 My levers came silver/gray. It was like $9 a peice or something like that. I wish i had your ambition! :woot: Quote
Justintoxicated Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 I did my throttle cover and the hardest part was getting the black paint out of the lettered areas. I left it there it looks good with black letters Quote
RNBRAD Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 That's one of the hardest pieces on the banshee along with the calipers and front hubs. Once you start it there's no going back. Well there is but it won't be pretty. Good luck and do some searching on here for more polishing info if needed. Quote

tidos76 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 go to your automotive store and buy some aircraft paint remover. spray it on and let it sit for a bit. WEAR GLOVES. this stuff will burn. it took most of mine off. the rest came off with the dremel. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Somebody on here said oven cleaner was good too, i never used it but have used the aircraft remover. The stuff in the can sucks i use the metal gallon can stuff, it's way better than the spray. Quote
chevrolet banshee Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Wen i do stuff like that i use paint stripper and a wire brush. Then hit it with some blue magic. Works well. Chevshee Quote
