snowmanzz13 Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 what could be my issue? i watch all these banshee vids, and they all have so much low end power compared to mine, mine almost feels like it bogs or too much fuel, so i'm thinking the pilots but i have 310 main's, t5 pipes and powercore 2 silencers, stock reeds, 15t front sprocket and stock rear but none of that should matter as i think it's a carb issue, i have no idea what size the pilots are but the mains are 310's and it's only bogging through about 1/4 throttle and then i can feel the power kick in and it runs beautiful from then on and as long as i'm moving fairly quick in first gear i can get off the gas and slow down a little and hammer it and the power is right there, any help is appreciated as i really want some bottom end power Quote
Devans Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Im positive its your pilots, take them out and see what size they are... See if it runs better with your choke on... Quote
Snopczynski Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Holy crap dude, that 15 tooth sprocket is killing you. Those pipes dont make great bottom end power either. Jetting wise if its non responsive up to 1/8 throttle then the pilots are lean. If it burbles up to 1/8 throttle and smokes a ton at idle then they are rich. Quote
snowmanzz13 Posted June 24, 2007 Author Report Posted June 24, 2007 whats a good bottom end pipe? i'd try running it rich but it's in storage right now about half hour away and i don't have a ride at the moment so i'll try and check asap on running rich and what pilots are in it Quote
fastrthnu Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 whats a good bottom end pipe? i'd try running it rich but it's in storage right now about half hour away and i don't have a ride at the moment so i'll try and check asap on running rich and what pilots are in it its prob the combination of T5`s and 15t drive. T5s have a crappy bottom on a stock motor with no boltons and 15t is going to build up more for top. Quote
snowmanzz13 Posted June 24, 2007 Author Report Posted June 24, 2007 so what needs to be done to my motor to make the t5's give me more bottom end power or what pipes will give me more bottom end on a stock motor? thanks for your help guys Quote
dynodon Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Well, If you are who I think you are ............ DIET my friend, you are no small order of fries. Neither am I for that matter, but thats not helping you get off the line. Some port work would make a big difference, BUT I would say your pilots are way off. T5`s work well on a stock cylinder bike that has some work done to it. try to drop a tooth in the front too. Quote
snowmanzz13 Posted June 24, 2007 Author Report Posted June 24, 2007 hey dyno, we've never met but i've recently given you crap on another site about "mud ridding" your shee lol but anyway i do need the diet as is lol and i guess porting might be in my near future, any one you guys would reccomend for porting? and if my dad didn't just buy this sprocket i would have no problem dropping a tooth and i guess i need to check my pilots whenever i get near my shee, if i only would have checked last week when i was cleaning my carbs twice last week Quote
dynodon Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Get with Troy, he has an excellent port work on stock cylinder guy. Quote
96_banshee_96 Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 If you decide to sell the header pipes let me know I will buy them. Quote
